最初,我打算用树木覆盖每个树;但我得出的结论是,一个较大的树比分散在数据库上的多个树更好,原因有几个:视觉效果,性能和兼容性。我经历了几次迭代,并相信我最终得到的是好的。


受影响的城市:Markarth,Riften,Solitude,Whiterun,Windhelm


这个mod需要什么:

Initially, I intended to cover each hold with trees; but I came to the conclusion that one larger tree would be better than multiple trees scattered over the holds for a few reasons: visuals, performance and compatibility. I went through a few iterations and believe what I ended up with is good. 

Cities affected: Markarth, Riften, Solitude, Whiterun, Windhelm

What this mod entails: 

One full LOD tree and banner for each hold (Whiterun tree has collision markers placed around it to prevent clipping due to scaling up in the CK and no direct mesh edits); some plants and smaller trees (mainly Solitude and Whiterun)

Idle and furniture markers (mostly companions will use, but sandboxing NPCs will too - for instance, at the Markarth blacksmith Ghorza and Tacitus will sit at the waterfall ledge)

Mulush, the smelter overseer in Markarth, now has a set of Orcish armor and mace. Because SMOrc.

Various problems I noticed were fixed. A piece of navmesh at the Markarth blacksmith was not connected to the rest; navmesh at the cell border of the Markarth blacksmith has been added, which fixes NPCs (especially patrolling guards) from becoming stuck at the side of the stairs; improved the navmesh around the waterspace at the Markarth blacksmith (I've tested thoroughly, while NPCs may not prefer to path there, they certainly can); waterfall above Markarth blacksmith slightly clipped in mountain; waterfall at Markarth Keep was causing pushback, this has been fixed by using two smaller waterfalls (a similar problem existed at the bridge near Markarth mines); grate inside Solitude wall has been repositioned to be visible; mountain mesh near Bards College garden was clipping through wall; brazier at Dragonsreach has been aligned properly; brazier embers at Whiterun entrance have been scaled down a tad to fit brazier properly.

No vanilla references/navmesh have been deleted; my edits are intentional.


Requirements:

None. While this mode was created with mathy's 3DTrees and plants in mind (which I highly recommend), it is not a hard requirement. I can't guarantee ideal results with other tree mods, but I don't think it'd be too bad. If you're curious, try it and see :) For this reason I will still list 3DTrees as a requirement before download.

Compatibility/Load Order:

Place alongside other city overhauls. Should be partially compatible with other city mods, but it comes down to what you want from which mod. If you are just looking for the tree placements, put this above other city overhauls. If you want the other features from this mod, place this below other city overhauls. You will probably end up with other features, but not all, from this mod regardless of load order. Of course, I would love compatibility patches for mods, and I intend to make them in future if no one else has.


Performance: 

This mod adds 5 full LOD tree models - which means their model will be fully rendered and visible from anywhere on the map (same with the hold banners). I can't say exactly how much performance this takes up, but on a decent rig I wouldn't worry. If you have a potato, the maybe worry. Even then there probably isn't a huge hit.
