My very slightly popular fix for Skyrim finally comes to SSE!

Does it annoy you that a simple player enchanted dagger at the beginning of the game will be worth far more gold than the "professionally" enchanted versions that can be bought or found?
Does it irritate you that the value of player enchanted items appears to decrease as skill level, perks and power increase?
Does it vex you that the value of player enchanted items in your inventory change if you exit to the desktop and then reload the game?
Does it grind your Thu'um that these items will change value again if you then enchant a new item after the exit and reload?

If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then you have come to the right place!

Skyrim Enchantment Value Fix
===============================================================================

Description

This mod fixes the bug in Skyrim and SSE where player enchanted items
have incorrect gold values.
===============================================================================

And... Well.... Yeah...... now they have the correct value as soon as they appear in your inventory and for all time.
There is a big long rambling description that i wrote many years ago when i put this up for regular Skyrim.
So if you want to read that then it is here

Otherwise all you need to know is that the enchanting table will still show silly values, because that's an engine bug.
But the items you make will all have proper values, and will increase in value correctly as their power increases.

No more early game exploit with 600 gold plus for a weak turn undead dagger.
No more late game enchanted daggers being worth 94 gold. (although this annoyed me less since by then we have banish and really too much gold!)
No more unstable item values.

Features

- This mod WILL cause all player enchanted items to have the correct value as soon as they are created in the player's inventory and for all time after.
The value is auto calculated by the game based on the item's enchantment power and soul size, and will be correct and stable no matter how many times
the game is saved, loaded, cold restarted etc.
- This mod WILL fix the value of all base enchantments in unmodded SSE, including the one added in Dragonborn (left the name out in case it's a spoiler :-))

- This mod WILL NOT stop Skyrim from showing incorrect values in the enchanting interface. This seems to be an engine bug and is present on PC and consoles.
- This mod WILL NOT (so far as i am aware) make any changes to the soul drain of items associated with reloading from a save. I primarily use enchanting to level up and make cash, and my enchanted weapons which i use in combat generally have instant effect enchantments (1 sec soul trap, 1 sec paralyze etc) so i don't notice that issue. So if that is your main concern instead of item value then i suggest you look to the mod linked below in the Compatibility section.
Do note that mod will set your item values to the incorrect ones shown in the enchanting table for all time, not even a restart and reload will fix it, so it's a choice between this mod and that one since they are not compatible.

Installation

Just copy the .esp into the Data folder and activate it. For information about load order please see the next section on compatibility.

Compatibility
===============================================================================
This mod changes the base enchantment definitions.

It may therefore conflict with any other mod which changes these items, either overwriting their changes or being overwritten, depending on load order and what is changed.

Therefore, if you use any mod which changes the base enchantments (Creation Kit ID starts with Ench and ends with Base),
any of these enchantments which still suffer from the value problem will need to be fixed by a patch mod.
It is possible for a mod to have fixed the issue if it has added conditional effects to the base enchantments.

The downloads page includes an esp which just contains the magic effects i created for this fix, 1 for armour and 1 for weapon enchantments.
If you use the Creation Kit or TES5Edit/SSEEdit you can just add the correct effect type to a base enchantment with the condition GetIsID Player != 1.
Then that enchantment will be fixed.

This mod will not do as intended if used with the Enchantment Reload Fix SE (made by egocarib, ported by Vermunds), since that mod recalculates the item values to match those shown in the enchantment interface as part of the fix for the soul drain issue.
However, if you are more interested in the soul drain of your enchanted items rather than the gold value, look to that mod, since mine does nothing
to intentionally address that issue. (If you find it does it accidentally then do let me know....)
As stated earlier that mod will set your item values to the incorrect ones shown in the enchanting table for all time, not even a restart and reload will fix it, so it's a choice between this and that since they are not compatible.
